2.2 Discussion Regarding District Facilities – Note: Agenda Items 2.1 and 2.2 were discussed together – Marty Johnson discussed timelines with the facilities committee. The first timeline that was discussed was the original timeline - Bid ideally in Jan/Feb 2022 - start construction Spring 2022, with completion by the fall of 2023. An alternative would be to bid fall of 2021 start in October 2021 and be done by December, 2022. It would be a recommendation of the committee that the first timeline would leave enough time to put together a core planning group and stakeholders group. A Core planning group would generally consist of two board members, the superintendent, principals and two or three parents/teachers. Then the core planning group would establish stakeholder groups to gather information in preparation for the building plans.
