The Mayor explained the addition to the Enterprise Zone for the City of Marion. The Council needs to approve an ordinance to include new property. There were questions from several Aldermen to clarify the location of this addition, which is the Illinois Centre Mall property.

Motion 1: Oetjen moved and Harness seconded to approve ORDINANCE NO. 1526-20, AN ORDINANCE TO ADD TERRITORY TO THE WILLIAMSON COUNTY ENTERPRISE ZONE WILLIAMSON COUNTY. A roll call vote was taken, and all present voted yea. The Mayor declared the motion carried.

California street road repair on this agenda was a request from Ron Mitchell, Village of Crainville. Two questions must be decided. 1) The Mayor verbally agreed to share in the cost of this repair pending Council approval. The cost of this repair is estimated at $10,500.00 with a contingency of $5,000.00 if the base is damaged. 2) If agreed, we need to decide which fund to expense and Motor Fuel Tax Funds may be used. If we use Motor Fuel Tax Funds, an amendment will have to be drafted and approved at the next Council meeting.

Motion 2: Emery moved and Sievers seconded to approve participating with the Village of Crainville in the repair of California Street at a cost not to exceed $15,500.00 [from Motor Fuel Tax Funds). A roll call vote was taken, and all present voted yea. The Mayor declared the motion carried.

The Mayor explained that the Farmer's Market is asking that their activities return to the grassy area east of the ballfield as they did last year

Motion 3: Harness moved and Emery seconded to allow the Farmer's Market to return to their original location at Cannon Park east of the ballfield. A roll call vote was taken, and all present voted yea. The Mayor declared the motion carried.
