Analysis: Carterville pays $2.65 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Carterville Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 72.7 percent of the $130,753 the Carterville Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.65 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Carbondale Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Carterville contributed $95,000 to the fund, which saw a $4,861 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $35,754, or 27.3 percent, in 2018.
