AFRICAN AMERICAN MUSEUM OF SOUTHERN ILLINOIS: Spring Break Must-Haves

E

African American Museum of Southern Illinois recently issued the following announcement.

It’s hard to believe it’s already March and that Spring Break is right around the corner! Whether you’re headed somewhere beachy and warm or planning a mountainous adventure, make sure you don’t leave home without these key items:

Sunscreen

Ok, it might not be the FIRST thing you pack, but it just might be the most important! Look for a water-resistant, moisturizing sunscreen made with clean ingredients that will protect you no matter where your adventures take you!

Swimsuit

All of the fresh new swimsuit styles are starting to hit the shelves! Even if you’re headed somewhere not quite as warm, don’t forget to pack your suit so you can hit the hot tub at your hotel or a nearby spa.

Tote bag

Straw bags are all the rage this year and are especially perfect for hitting the beach! Pick one out now and you can also use it all summer long. Win-win!

New Kicks

Sneakers might not be your shoe of choice while actually on the beach, but they will be the perfect complement to any outfit you choose to adventure around town in! Plus, they make the best travel day shoe since you’re usually getting so many steps in at the airport.

Sunglasses

No matter if you’re hitting the beach or the slopes on your getaway, be sure you pack your sunnies! Plus, going on vacation is an excuse to shop for more, right??

Fanny Pack

This trendy bag is still going strong and with good reason. It’s cute AND functional – perfect for all your vacay needs.

Wherever you’re headed, be sure to treat yourself to some new goodies for your upcoming trip!
