Williamson County Board of Commissioners met Nov. 12.

The Williamson County Board of Commissioners met Tuesday November 12, 2019 at 10:03 a.m. at the Williamson County Administrative Building Boardroom, Marion, Illinois, in a regular meeting of the Williamson County Board of Commissioners with the following members present: 

Ron Ellis, Chairman 

Brent Gentry, Commissioner 

Jim Marlo, Commissioner

Attest: Amanda Barnes, County Clerk and Recorder

Lorie LeQuate, Regional Office of Education, was present to give quarterly report.

Motion made by Brent Gentry and seconded by Jim Marlo, approving RESOLUTION NO. 19-11-12-58 SALARY OF COUNTY ENGINEER. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Jim Marlo, Yea; Brent Gentry, Yea; Ron Ellis, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Motion made by Brent Gentry and seconded by Jim Marlo, approving RESOLUTION NO. 19-11-12-59 IMRF/FICA BENEFITS OF COUNTY ENGINEER. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Jim Marlo, Yea; Brent Gentry, Yea; Ron Ellis, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Commissioner Ellis wanted to point out the Accounting Services will be going up from $75,000 to $78,000 for the 2020 fiscal year with no bid.

Jerry Ross, IT, was present to give an update on the department. Jerry will be doing the upgrades for the Windows 10 during business hours for each department.

Commissioner Gentry gave an update on the jail. The electricians, plumber, construction company that built the jail did a total walk through and are still unsure of the cause of the carbon monoxide leak. The boiler will still be tore down to see if there is a problem with it.

Discussion had on the recycling program. Commissioner Marlo would like two quotes from other trash companies. Commissioner Ellis and Gentry would like to eliminate dumpsters. They would like to have this issue resolved by January 1st, 2020.
