Williamson County Board of Commissioners met May 1.

The Williamson County Board of Commissioners met Wednesday May 1, 2019 at 3:06 a.m. at the Williamson County Administrative Building Boardroom, Marion, Illinois, in a regular meeting of the Williamson County Board of Commissioners with the following members present:
Ron Ellis, Chairman
Brent Gentry, Commissioner
Jim Marlo, Commissioner

Discussion had with Steve Green, Judge; Brandon Zanotti, State’s Attorney; Wendy Cunningham, Assistant State’s Attorney; Jerri Adams, Assistant State’s Attorney; Therese Thein, Public Defender; Angie Kochan, Circuit Clerk; Rachel Moake, Chief Deputy Clerk; were all present to talk to board about funding for the gavel program. There has been a new mandate that the judicial system has been made aware of starting March 1, 2019. The gavel program is a web based program that will allow them to follow procedures on following the mandate by getting proper fees to each person that has been fined. The amount of this program is a fee of $6,500 annually. No action taken.
Motion made by Brent Gentry and seconded by Jim Marlo, approving Quit Claim Deed to B & B Recovery Inc. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Jim Marlo, Yea; Brent Gentry, Yea; Ron Ellis, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.
The County owns five parcels around Philadelphia Road that they are interested in selling. They will be having the property surveyed before they set it up with a realtor to be sold.
Motion made by Brent Gentry and seconded by Jim Marlo, approving Collective Bargaining Agreement between Williamson County Animal Control Department and Operating Engineers Local 318. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Jim Marlo, Yea; Brent Gentry, Yea; Ron Ellis, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.
Commissioners also discussed the Accurate Controls Inc. contract again. Accurate would like the board to put in writing the payment plan desired. They would then look over it and decide. Also, they are looking to inquire about a discount on the maintenance agreement.
Discussion had with Ashley Gott, Treasurer, on finance statements that are presented from his office. Commissioner Ellis does not believe these are an actual financial statement. He would like to see the accounting/payroll software that was purchased last year to be utilized in that office. No action taken.
