First Judicial Circuit Court recently issued the following announcement.
The Carbondale Chamber of Commerce will host the 2018 State of the City Address on Tuesday, December 18 during their monthly luncheon.
Carbondale Mayor John “Mike” Henry will highlight the City’s progress and accomplishments over the last year as well as discuss plans for 2019.
Lunch will begin at noon in the Carbondale Civic Center located at 200 S. Illinois Avenue. Tickets for the luncheon are $20. Reservations can be made by calling (618) 549-2146. Members of the community are welcome to come and listen to the speech free of charge.
Proceeds from the event will go toward the Mayor’s Scholarship Fund which provides scholarships for Carbondale Community High School students attending Southern Illinois University.
