According to the report, the district expelled or suspended 199 students during the year. That equates to 7.9 percent of the 2,514 students enrolled.
Of the 199 out-of-school suspensions, 165 were given to boys and 34 were given to girls, including 131 elementary or middle schoolers and 68 high schoolers.
The district reported that most out-of-school suspensions were given for unspecified reasons. The category includes 105 incidents. There were 79 incidents of violence without physical injury. For 89 incidents, students were suspended for 3-5 days.
