Giant City Community Consolidated School District 130 Board met May 29.

1. Approve Minutes, T. Report and Activity/Imprest
Motion made by Fakhoury, seconded by Sanders to approve the Regular Meeting minutes from April 9 and April 16, 2018, the April 2018 Activity and Imprest Reports, and the April 2018 Treasurer’s Report. Votes were as follows: Ayes-All
2. Approve Expend.
Motion made by Buffington, seconded by Fakhoury to approve the May 2018 expenditures, Votes were as follows: Yeas- Buffington, Ancell, Martin, Bickel, Fakhoury and Sanders.
3. Executive Session
Motion made by Fakhoury, seconded by Bickel to adjourn to Executive Session at 7:55 P.M. to discuss the appointment, employment, compensation, performance or dismissal of a specific employee of the public body, pursuant to 5ILCS 120/2(c)(1), and student discipline. Votes were as follows: Ayes-All.

Motion made by Ancell, seconded by Buffington to adjourn from Executive Session at 8:30 p.m. Votes were as follows: Ayes-All
5. Approve Minutes
Motion made by Bickel, seconded by Buffington to approve the Executive Session minutes in which the appointment, employment, compensation, performance or dismissal of a specific employee of the public body and student discipline was discussed. Votes were as follows: Ayes-All.
6. Employment
Motion made by Sanders, seconded by Bickel to hire Nikki Rosenthal as the Summer Kids Klub Director at a rate of $11.75 per hour from June 5-August 4, 2018. Votes were as follows: Yeas-Buffington, Ancell, Martin, Bickel, Fakhoury and Sanders.
7. Employment
Motion made by Buffington, seconded by Ancell to hire Teresa Armit as a Summer Kids Klub Worker at a rate of $10.75 per hour from June 6- August 3, 2018. Votes were as follows: Yeas-Buffington, Ancell, Martin, Bickel, Fakhoury and Sanders.
8. Employment
Motion made by Buffington, seconded by Fakhoury to hire Tammy Thompson as a Summer Kids Klub Worker at a rate of $10.75 per hour, from June 6 to August 3, 2018. Votes were as follows: Yeas-Buffington, Ancell, Martin, Bickel, Fakhoury and Sanders.
9. Resignation
Motion made by Fakhoury, seconded by Sanders to accept the resignation of Megan Bates, Primary Resource Teacher as of June 4, 2018. Votes were as follows: Ayes-All.
10. Employment
Motion made by Sanders, seconded by Fakhoury to hire Shelby Ahlfied as a part-time Summer Daycare/Kids Klub Worker from June 6-August 3, 2018 at a rate of $9.25 per hour. Votes were as follows: Yeas- Buffington, Ancell, Martin, Bickel, Fakhoury and Sanders.
11. Table Bid Process
Motion made by Sanders, seconded by Buffington to table the bid process for the replacement of 3 HVAC systems in the primary wing. Votes were as follows: Ayes-All.
12. Post Position
Motion made by Fakhoury, seconded by Bickel to approve the posting of a certified resource teacher for the FY18-19 school year. Votes were as follows: Ayes-All.
13. Adjourn
Motion made by Bickel, seconded by Sanders to adjourn at 8:36 p.m. Votes were as follows: Ayes-All.
