Approval of July 19, 2016 Minutes: Motion by Booziotis, seconded by Flowers, to approve the minutes of the regular scheduled meeting of July 19, 2016, and the executive session minutes of July 19, 2016, as presented. Roll call: Booziotis, Cole, Flowers and Woodard voted yes. Nay, none. Motion carried.
Approval of August 8, 2016 Minutes: Motion by Flowers, seconded by Booziotis, to approve the minutes of the special meeting of August 8, 2016. Roll call: Cole abstained. Flowers, Woodard and Booziotis voted yes. Nay, none. Motion carried.

Old Business—Seating of New Board of Education Member: Julie VanWinkle took the Oath of Office and was seated as the new member of the Carbondale Community High School District #165 Board of Education.
Introduction of New Faculty: Daniel Booth introduced the new faculty members to the Board: John Gund, English Teacher; Ethan Graham, Social Studies Teacher; Crystal Harsy, English Teacher; Tammy Helvey, Special Education Teacher; Rasheeda Love, CTE Family & Consumer Science Teacher; Jamie Pfister, Temporary Mathematics Teacher; Cara Polczynski, English Teacher; Toni Ruiz, School Counselor. President Woodard welcomed the faculty members on behalf of the Board of Education.
Public Comments: There were no public comments.
Payment of Bills: Motion by Tsung, seconded by Booziotis, to pay the remaining bills for thee nonth of July, 2016; and, those available for payment for the month of August, 2016. Roll call: Flowers, Tsung, VanWinkle, Woodard, Booziotis and Cole voted yes. Nay, none. Motion carried.
2016 Summer School Update: Terica Doyle and Stephanie Finke updated the Board on the 2016 Summer School Program.
Bids and Quotes: There were no bids or quotes.
Presentation of the 2016-17 Tentative Budget for Public Display: Motion by Flowers, seconded by Tsung, to receive the tentative budget for the 2016-17 school year, place it on display for the public at the district office, the high school office, and the Carbondale Public Library, and to hold a public hearing on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Roll call: Tsung, VanWinkle, Woodard, Booziotis, Cole and Flowers voted yes. Nay, none. Motion carried.

Aide--Effective August 11, 2016 @ $10.00/Hour b. 2016-17 Driver Education Behind-the-Wheel Teachers--Personnel as presented: Cliff Davis, Greg Storm, Krystal Emrick, Kim Wheeler, Jeff Hansen
