The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation hosted an open discussion recently in Springfield for licensed real-estate professionals to ask questions about the TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure (TRID).

Real estate brokers, lawyers, lenders and title insurers were invited to attend the information panel to learn more about the new federal regulations, which aim to improve consumer understanding of the home closing process. More than 50 licensed professionals attended the discussion panel to discover the latest on best practices in dealing with TRID.

Groups that participated in the event included the Illinois Land Title Association, Greater Midwest Lenders Association, Illinois Credit Union League, Illinois Mortgage Bankers Association, Illinois Bankers Association, Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association, Illinois Realtors, Illinois Community Bankers Association and Illinois League of Financial Institutions.
