Inside Saluki Athletics has begun its second season, offering a weekly look at Southern Illinois University sports. The live broadcast is available every Tuesday at noon on the Saluki Athletics Facebook, YouTube, and X accounts, providing coverage of all SIU teams during the academic year.

"Our fan base is always hungry for more content about our Saluki teams," said Luke Martin, SIU's director of broadcasting and host of the show. "This platform allows us to spotlight team accomplishments, while entertaining and informing fans about the coaches and athletes who represent them."

During football season, each episode starts with an interview with head coach Nick Hill and includes highlights from players and position coaches. Early episodes this fall have also featured soccer head coach Graeme Orr, soccer player Guiliana Balistreri, volleyball head coach Brittany Harry, SIU Director of Golf Justin Fetcho, and men's golfer Anthony DeSchutter.

Martin produces the show in-house from the Steve Wells Production Studio located inside Lingle Hall. The studio was made possible by a donation from SIU alumnus Steve Wells.

"The studio makes Inside Saluki Athletics stand out," Martin said. "We couldn't produce such a high-quality broadcast without the equipment and space provided by Steve Wells' generosity. He has made a tremendous impact."

The show will continue airing weekly through December 16 before taking a short break for the holidays. It will return in January after skipping broadcasts on November 11 and November 25 due to travel commitments with Saluki Basketball.

Fans can follow updates about Saluki Athletics on Facebook, YouTube, and X.
