Rep. Jacobs invites public to candlelight vigil for Charlie Kirk in Marion

State Representative Paul Jacobs has invited the public to a candlelight vigil scheduled for Sunday, September 14, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. The event will take place at Marion Square in Marion, Illinois. It is being organized by Sunnie Gream, a resident of Herrin. Rep. Jacobs is sponsoring House Resolution 463 (Illinois General Assembly – Bill Status of HR0463) to mourn the passing of Illinois native Charlie Kirk.

Jacobs, a Republican, was elected to the Illinois State House in 2023 and represents the state's 118th House District after succeeding Patrick Windhorst.
