Registration opens for SIH Workers' Compensation Symposium set for June 12

SIH Work Care has announced the opening of registration for the 2025 Workers’ Compensation Symposium. The event, scheduled for Thursday, June 12, will focus on occupational health, workplace safety, employee wellness, and workers' compensation trends. It aims to gather employers, human resource professionals, safety officers, occupational health clinicians, case managers, and industry leaders committed to improving workplace environments.

Bart Welker from Illuminative Strategies will deliver the keynote address titled "Team Excellence – Building High-Performance Teams." He plans to discuss how collaboration and innovation can enhance organizational outcomes. Welker's background includes a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC) and an MBA in Project Management from the University of Management and Technology in Arlington. He also serves on SIUC’s Industrial Management and Applied Engineering Advisory Board.

Participants at the symposium will receive practical tools for team development, injury prevention strategies, return-to-work solutions, and best practices in workers' compensation management.

Dena Kirk, SIH Director of Rehabilitation Services said: “Whether you’re navigating injury claims, managing workforce wellness programs or leading safety initiatives, the SIH Workers' Compensation Symposium offers the insights and connections to move your organization forward.”

The event will take place at Kokopelli Golf Club in Marion from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Interested individuals can register online at sih.net/symposiums/workcomp.
