State Representatives Paul Jacobs, Amy Elik, Brandun Schweizer, and Jackie Haas participated in the inaugural tour of the newly constructed underground parking facility at the Illinois State Capitol Complex. The facility is located on the north end of the William G. Stratton Building in Springfield.

The new garage replaces the former north drive of the Capitol, which accommodated 110 vehicles for state employees. The updated structure will provide space for 440 cars and includes electric vehicle charging stations with provisions for additional chargers. An underground conference area will connect this garage to both the Stratton Building and the Capitol, featuring spaces for rallies and a cafe intended for guests and employees.

Capitol Architect Andrea Aggertt stated that "the $225 million project will update facilities on the north wing of the statehouse and includes this additional parking underneath the Stratton Building for employees and the public."
