2. Discuss Water Survey Update

100% of surveys were completed. No lead pipes reported in the Village.

3. Discuss Update on Water Building Amperage Increase

Hostetler reported they were waiting to hear back from the Ameren Rep.

4. Discuss Bids for Failure of Big Pump Soft Start at Lift Station

Quick Electrical suggested not replacing all the starters. Bid is $9,500.00. Tannock Electrical bid is $12,535.00.

5. Discuss Hiring Ace in the Hole for Spray Patching for April 21st Start

Hostetler and Board discussed previous work done by Ace in the Hole and were in agreeance to vote to hire them again.

6. Discuss Purchase of 22 Tons of Pea Gravel for Spray Patching from Burgess Bros Trucking

Burgess will haul and store the gravel for $1,245.00. Pekin Sand and Gravel is $16.00/ton. Board recommended purchasing 23 tons, which would cost no more than $368.00.

7. Discuss MFT Estimate of Maintenance

Estimate of Maintenance for the SW Quadrant and Knox Road 2300 is $59,050.40. With Knox County no longer doing the work, and multiple municipalities skipping a year, premiums are high to move forward. Eliminating a portion of the selected area would not be beneficial. The estimate is half of our MFT funds and the Board believes it is best to skip this year.

8. Discuss Farmington Yearbook AD

Board discussed having an 1/8-page ad in the amount of $80.00. This is what they have done in previous years.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

• Streets/Alleys – Smith

Discussed gas station and library alleys gravel plan. Also, the alley behind Post Office and Lumenok.

• Water – Lekies Sewer- Mahr

Discussed flushing at the corner by Ames and Dixon twice a year to help keep the line clear due to slope. Also, the alley next to Dixon at the manhole that runs under the highway.

OTHER

• Electrical Supply contract with Constellation expires the end of May with the Treatment Plant expiring the end of April. A new contract would be for 4 years. If not renewed, a variable rate will be applied. Hostetler will find out the new fixed rate amount.

• Public Works employee Brian Efnor hit a park bench with the skid steer. Board does not believe we should attempt to fix it; it should be replaced. Kirby Built replacement $785.00 with shipping costs.

• Ron Smith suggested a picnic table addition. Hostetler and Smith will look at Kirby Built matching tables and get prices.

• Public Works is requesting the Village to hire a seasonal part-time employee. Demand of another employee and wage was discussed.

• As they drill deeper for the well, the water may appear cloudy. Need to be aware of this timing and send out a public notice.
