It was a busy week at the Capitol for Representative Jacobs. The sessions included meetings with committees, and the presence of numerous visitors from both his district and across the state. He expressed his pleasure in engaging with 8th-grade students from Grand Tower.

Jacobs also met with the delegation from TASC, Inc., known as Treatment Alternatives for Safe Communities. TASC was at the Capitol advocating for support of their program, which has been operating for nearly four decades. Their motto is, "Rebuilding lives. Strengthening communities. Restoring hope."

During Lobby Day, Jacobs had the opportunity to meet with the delegation from the Electric Co-Op with State Representative David Friess of the 115th District.

In his role as a member of the Appropriations – Higher Education Committee, Jacobs held discussions with educators and leaders to understand their programs and needs. Among the visitors was a delegation from Chicago State University. The university, established in 1867 as the Cook County Normal School, caters to undergraduates with an honors program and offers both bachelor's and master's degrees in the arts and sciences.
