Herron named MVC Scholar-Athlete of the Year; 18 Salukis recognized

The Missouri Valley Conference announced the 2025 Swimming and Diving Scholar-Athlete Team, recognizing a total of 18 athletes from the Salukis. The criteria for being named a Scholar-Athlete require competing in the MVC Swimming and Diving Championships while maintaining a 3.5 GPA and earning All-Conference Honors, finishing in the top 24 at an individual event at the championships with a 3.7 GPA, or maintaining a 3.9 GPA and participating in the championships.

Among the recipients are Alex Cimera and Oliver Mebs, each with a perfect 4.00 GPA, along with several others maintaining impressive academic achievements. The full list includes Tiago Faleiros, Donat Csuvarszki, Henrique Pacheco Januario, Fernanda Sánchez, Keely Ohlhauser, Audrey Leno, Sam Vega, Corrin Williams, Olivia Herron, Brooklyn Anderson, Jasmine Rau, Bea Padron, Ali Robertson, Farida Moussa, Susanna Hernandez, and Madalyn Booker.

Olivia Herron, who maintained a 3.91 GPA, was distinguished as the Scholar-Athlete of the Year on the women's side, attributed to her academic performance and notable achievements in swimming, including earning a spot in the Women's NCAA Championships.
