Alec Nigut, back from an injury, was the winning pitcher with five innings pitched, allowing three runs on five hits and striking out four opponents.

The second game on Saturday concluded with another 13-4 win for the Salukis, securing their place atop the Missouri Valley Conference standings. Noteworthy contributions included Jaxon Holder, who drove in a run, and Schark, who added to his outstanding day with two more home runs.

"Dylan Petrey earned the win in relief, delivering 2.2 innings of work, allowing one run on one hit while striking out six," the summary noted. Despite Bradley's Tyler Lutz allowing several runs early on, the game confirmed Southern Illinois' superiority.
