Rep. Jacobs attends C.O.P.S. meeting in Marion

Rep. Jacobs recently attended the annual meeting of Illinois Concerns of Police Survivors Inc. (C.O.P.S.) at Mt. Dew Park in Marion, Illinois, on March 22, 2025. During this event, he expressed gratitude to the families who participated.

The organization is dedicated to assisting families and colleagues of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty, with between 140 and 160 officers losing their lives each year. C.O.P.S. offers resources to help these individuals cope with their loss without requiring a membership fee.

Illinois Concerns of Police Survivors operates as a 501(c)(3) non-profit entity, providing emotional and financial support along with legal assistance to surviving family members based on Federal criteria for line-of-duty deaths.

The group remains committed to offering continuous support to survivors whenever needed, being available around the clock every day of the year.
