The Southern Illinois men's basketball team is set to host Murray State on Wednesday, February 19, at the Banterra Center in Carbondale. The game, originally scheduled for Murray, Kentucky, was relocated due to a power issue on the campus of Murray State University following severe weather in western Kentucky.

Despite the change in venue, the game will be considered a home game for Murray State. Tickets previously purchased for the CFSB Center will be honored at the new location. General admission seating is available with Section 102 reserved for Murray State fans. Parking will be free and first-come, first-serve.

The matchup will feature ESPN Plus commentators Mike Trude and Saluki Hall of Famer Jamaal Tatum. The radio broadcast can be accessed locally on 101.5 CIL-FM and various digital platforms with Luke Martin and Rodney Watson as announcers.

Southern Illinois enters the game with a record of 12-15 overall and 7-8 in Missouri Valley Conference play. The team ranks third in rebounds per game within the MVC. Key players include Ali Dibba and Kennard Davis Jr., who rank third and sixth in scoring respectively within the conference.

Murray State holds a record of 13-14 overall and stands at 7-9 in conference play. JaCobi Wood leads their scoring efforts averaging 13.4 points per game.

This encounter marks the 44th meeting between Southern Illinois and Murray State, with SIU leading the series historically.
