Southern Illinois University reschedules baseball home opener due to weather concerns

With the possibility of adverse weather and freezing conditions, Southern Illinois University has rescheduled its baseball home opener against UT Martin. The game is now set for Wednesday, March 26 at 6 p.m. CT at Itchy Jones Stadium.

The Salukis will instead begin their home season on Friday, February 28 against Southern Indiana.

The team's 2025 season will commence with a three-game series on the road at UT-Rio Grande Valley starting this Friday.
