Southern Illinois University (SIU) is preparing for a basketball game against Evansville at the Ford Center on Wednesday night. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on ESPN Plus. Fans can also listen to the radio broadcast locally on 101.5 CIL-FM, the Saluki Radio Network, SIUSalukis.com/Listen, the Saluki Mobile App, and the Varsity Network App with commentary from Luke Martin and Rodney Watson.

The Southern Illinois Salukis enter this game with a record of 10-13 overall and 5-7 in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC). They have won five of their last seven games and are tied in standings with Indiana State and Murray State. The team has recently achieved three consecutive MVC road victories, a feat not accomplished since the 2019-20 season.

Ali Dibba leads SIU with an average of 16.7 points per game, ranking second in the MVC. Kennard Davis Jr., another key player for SIU, averages 15.5 points per game along with notable contributions in rebounds and assists.

Evansville was predicted to finish ninth in the MVC Preseason Poll but currently holds a record of 9-14 overall and 6-6 in conference play. They are on a three-game winning streak.

Historically, Southern Illinois has led their series against Evansville with a record of 79 wins to 59 losses. However, Evansville broke SIU's five-game winning streak earlier this year with a victory on New Year's Day.
