Murphysboro High School has recently shared updates regarding their sports achievements through a series of tweets. The posts, dated January 23, 2025, highlight the accomplishments of their Choices program and individual athletes, as well as provide an update on the wrestling team's current performance.

On January 23, Murphysboro High School announced that their Choices program competed in a basketball game against Pinckneyville Panther Paws at Murphysboro High School. The team known as the DevilDawgs emerged victorious in this match. "Today our Choices program competed against the Pinckneyville Panther Paws in a basketball game at Murphysboro High School. The DevilDawgs came out on top!"

In another post on the same day, Murphysboro High School celebrated Bryce Edwards for setting a new record in career wins for the school's history. Edwards achieved his 158th win during a match against A-J on January 22, surpassing Jake Miller's previous record set in 2010. Furthermore, Murphysboro High School highlighted the impressive performance of their wrestling team during the 2024-25 season. As of January 23, they have secured 21 dual wins and are pursuing an all-time school record for victories. "ICYMI, the 2024-25 Red Devils Wrestling Team is on a Historical Run. Currently, they have 21 Dual Wins."
