State Representative Paul Jacobs was sworn in for his third term at the University of Illinois Springfield on Wednesday. The ceremony marked the beginning of the 104th General Assembly. Jacobs, a Republican from Pomona, acknowledged the fiscal challenges facing Illinois.

“Today is a special day, and I am always so grateful to the voters of the 118th district for giving me this privilege to serve. I am thankful to my wife Rhoda, who is always my biggest supporter, and my family for their love and support. Our state is in trouble, and we need a new approach to governing that provides financial relief to our citizens and restore their faith in government,” Jacobs said.

Jacobs stated that his priorities would include protecting taxpayers and supporting vulnerable residents in his district.

“As State Representative, I am proud to have built a solid, conservative record. I’ve rejected tax increases, pay raises for politicians and irresponsible spending. I have also demanded accountability from the Pritzker administration to improve services for veterans and individuals with disabilities that I represent at the Anna Veterans Home and Choate. I will continue this work in the 104th General Assembly.”

Jacobs’ office is located at 600 Halfway Road, Suite 103, Marion, IL 62956. He can be contacted by phone at 618-559-7018 or via email at Jacobs@ILHouseGOP.org. More information can be found on his website RepPaulJacobs.com.
