Marion, IL — The Marion VA Health Care System has announced that it will operate under a delayed opening schedule for certain clinics on Monday, January 6th, due to anticipated winter weather conditions. The outpatient services at specific locations will begin operations at 10:00 a.m.

In Illinois, the affected facilities include the Marion Main Medical Center (outpatient only), the Marion Primary Care Clinic at Heartland Annex, and Community Based Outpatient Clinics in Harrisburg, Carbondale, Mt. Vernon, and Effingham. The emergency department at the Marion Main Medical Center will remain open 24/7.

In Indiana, the Evansville Health Care Center and the Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Vincennes will also have delayed openings.

In Kentucky, while most clinics will open later than usual, those in Paducah, Mayfield, and Madisonville will maintain their normal hours with an 8:00 a.m. start time. However, the Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Owensboro is included in the delayed opening schedule.

Veterans who are unable to attend their appointments are encouraged to contact their respective clinics to explore alternative options. The health care system advises everyone to stay safe and warm during this period.
