Saluki Athletics has announced two themed men's basketball games scheduled for December 21 and January 1 at the Banterra Center in Carbondale, Illinois. Ticket prices for both events begin at $3, with no additional fees.
The game on December 21 against High Point is called the "Rockin' Christmas Beach Party." A special halftime performance by an Elvis tribute artist, Dave Stovall, will be featured. The first 2,000 attendees will receive a Hawaiian lei. Santa Claus will make a pregame appearance in the pavilion with giveaways for children.
On January 1, Saluki Athletics will host the "Saluki New Year's Bash" against Evansville. The event promises to set a new record for the largest balloon drop in Southern Illinois history. There will also be a halftime performance by Snowpower.
