City of Carbondale Local Liquor Control Commission and City Council met Nov. 12.

Here are the minutes provided by the commission:

Commissioners present:

Commissioner Nancy Maxwell, Commissioner Ginger Rye Sanders, Commissioner Jeff Doherty, Commissioner LaCaje Hill, Commissioner Clare Killman, Commissioner Adam Loos, and Mayor Carolin Harvey

Meeting called to order at 6:00 PM

1. Preliminaries to the Local Liquor Control Commission Meeting

Procedural: 1.1 Roll Call

2. Citizens' Comments for the Local Liquor Control Commission

3. General Business of the Local Liquor Control Commission

Action: 3.1 Minutes from the Local Liquor Control Commission Meeting of September 24, 2024

MOTION: Approve the minutes from the Local Liquor Control Commission meeting of September 24, 2024

Motion by Jeff Doherty, second by Clare Killman.

Final Resolution: Motion Carries

Yea: Nancy Maxwell, Ginger Rye Sanders, Jeff Doherty, LaCaje Hill, Clare Killman, Adam Loos, Carolin Harvey

Action: 3.2 Application for an On-Premises Secondary Liquor License from Lost Forest Coffeehouse & Pub, LLC Operating at 520 South Illinois Avenue

There was a question regarding criminal history expungement and what that means in relation to the application; also, there was a suggestion to work on the application wording to ensure the applicant knows how to correctly answer questions.

MOTION: Approve the issuance of an On-premises Secondary liquor license with beer garden, live entertainment, and video gaming liquor license riders for Lost Forest Coffeehouse & Pub;

Motion by Adam Loos, second by Clare Killman.

Final Resolution: Motion Carries

Yea: Nancy Maxwell, Ginger Rye Sanders, Jeff Doherty, LaCaje Hill, Clare Killman, Adam Loos, Carolin Harvey

Action: 3.3 Application for an On-Premises Secondary Restaurant Liquor License from Italian Village of Carbondale, LLC d/b/a Italian Village at 405 S. Washington Street

Jarius Harvey remarked on the form of votes.

MOTION: Approve the issuance of an On-premises Secondary Restaurant liquor license with Outdoor Service Area and Video Gaming Terminals Riders, continent upon receipt of all outstanding items

Motion by Clare Killman, second by LaCaje Hill.

Final Resolution: Motion Carries

4. Adjournment of the Local Liquor Control Commission
