Southern Illinois University's track and field program is set to begin its indoor season with the Saluki Fast Start event. The competition will be held at the SIU Recreation Center, starting on Friday, December 6, at 1 p.m., and concluding on Saturday, December 7, beginning at 9 a.m.
The Salukis will face off against teams from Central Methodist, Lindenwood, Maryville (MO), Murray State, Principia, Saint Louis, SIUE, and Washington University.
The first day of the event features the Pentathlon and Heptathlon commencing at 1 p.m., followed by the men's weight throw at 6 p.m., and ending with the women's weight throw at 7:30 p.m.
On the second day, field events are scheduled to start at 9 a.m., while track events will begin at 2:15 p.m. The event is expected to conclude around 7:30 p.m.
