The Illinois Conservation Foundation (ICF) has set the deadline for applications for its 2024 Conservation Achievement Scholarship on March 1st, 2024. This scholarship aims to support young leaders dedicated to preserving and improving the outdoor environment in Illinois.

According to the ICF's website, the foundation awards the annual Conservation Achievement Scholarship to inspire the next generation of leaders to uphold a sustainable outdoor environment. The scholarship offers up to four one-time scholarships of $2,000 each to exceptional high school seniors in Illinois who have shown unwavering commitment to the preservation, protection, enhancement, and promotion of Illinois' natural resources.

Since its inception in 2005, the Conservation Achievement Scholarships have been made possible through the generous contributions of various organizations and individuals. A total of $174,000 has been granted to 85 scholarship recipients over the years, recognizing their significant efforts in environmental conservation.

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be Illinois residents and seniors in an Illinois high school during the year of the scholarship award. Interested individuals are encouraged to submit their applications before the upcoming deadline to be considered for this prestigious opportunity to further their education and contribute to the conservation efforts in the state.
