Williamson County Board of Commissioners met Sept. 20.

The Williamson County Board of Commissioners met Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Williamson County Administrative Building Boardroom, Marion, Illinois, in a meeting of the Williamson County Board of Commissioners with the following members present:

Tim Atkisson, Commissioner

Jim Marlo, Commissioner

Jim Rasor, Commissioner

Rodney Cabaness, Ralph Santana and Mayor Absher were present for discussion on the Oasis Athletic Field Project. No action taken.

The board took a 5 minutes recess and resumed meeting at 2:30 p.m.

Brian Burgess, EMA, was present to discuss the surplus property in the bunkers at the Refuge.

Fee Increase for Animal Control

Amended Budget for Highway Department

Motion made by Jim Rasor and seconded by Jim Marlo, approving RESOLUTION NO. 23-09-20-90 PROJECT FOR CRAB ORCHARD GREENWAY. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Jim Rasor, approving RESOLUTION NO. 23-09-20-89 REAL ESTATE TAXES PAYMENT DATES AND PENALTY DATES.

Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

ARPA claims from Farley Engineering, Freeman Spur, Horner Shifrin, Lakeside Water District, Southern Illinois Coalition for the Homeless, City of Herrin, Saline River Farms, and Burnside Water District were presented for signatures.

Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Jim Rasor to adjourn meeting. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.
