Williamson County Board of Commissioners met Aug. 30.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The Williamson County Board of Commissioners met Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 1:35 p.m. at the Williamson County Administrative Building Boardroom, Marion, Illinois, in a meeting of the Williamson County Board of Commissioners with the following members present:

Tim Atkisson, Commissioner

Jim Marlo, Commissioner

Jim Rasor, Commissioner

Commissioner Rasor briefed the board on his visit to the Refuge with EMA. He was able to give a description of what type of assets that are on the property and storage in the area. No action taken.

Commissioner Atkisson gave an update on the grant approval for the grant writer position. The attorney for the board, Rhett Barke, will create a job description for this position and for the internal auditor.

Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Jim Rasor, approving Hatfield Subdivision. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Motion made by Jim Rasor and seconded by Jim Marlo, approving RESOLUTION NO. 23-08-30-87 RESOLUTION FOR IMPROVEMENT UNDER THE ILLINOIS HIGHWAY CODE. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

ARPA claims were submitted for signatures.

Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Jim Rasor, approving Travel Reimbursement for Michael Burke in the amount of $180.02. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Jim Rasor adjourning meeting. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.
