The Williamson County Board of Commissioners met Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 1:19 p.m. at the Williamson County Administrative Building Boardroom, Marion, Illinois, in a meeting of the Williamson County Board of Commissioners with the following members present:
Tim Atkisson, Chairman
Jim Marlo, Commissioner
Jim Rasor, Commissioner
Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Jim Rasor, approving Raffle and Poker Run License for Faith Chapel-Blairsville. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.
Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Jim Rasor, approving the purchase of election equipment in the amount of $658,705 to be taken out of capital improvement. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.
Camille Dorris, Coalition for the Homeless, was present to sign an ARPA Participation Agreement.
Motion made by Jim Rasor and seconded by Jim Marlo, approving ORDINANCE NO. 23-03-08-04 AN ORDINANCE REPEALING AND REPLACING COUNTY ORDINANCE 85-12-1 REGARDING HOTEL/MOTEL TRANSIENT OCCUPANCY RENTAL UNITS AND RELATED MATTERS. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.
The RFQ packages were opened for the Animal Control Facility. The architects included for consideration: Architechniques Limited; D.A.R.T. Designs; Baysinger Architects LLC; White & Borognoni Architects, P.C.; Hurst-Rosche, Inc.; and Eggemeyer & Associates.
Discussion had on GATA findings. No action taken.
