Q2 2022 Recap: 1 parolee from Williamson County convicted of financial crimes or fraud set for release

There was one offender convicted of a financial crime or fraud living in Williamson County released on parole during the second quarter of 2022, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Carbondale Reporter.

The data shows the released offender was a man. He was convicted in 2022 when he was 30 years old. He is now 31.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
