Q4 2021 Recap: 1 parolee from Williamson County convicted of public safety violations set for release

There was one offender convicted of a public safety violation living in Williamson County released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2021, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Carbondale Reporter.

The data shows the released offender was a woman. She was convicted in 2020 when she was 36 years old. She is now 38.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
