Illinois state Sen. Terri Bryant (R-Murphysboro) held a meet-and-greet event on Monday at the DuQuoin American Legion to talk with her constituents.
Bryant announced the event in an Aug. 29 Facebook post.
"Looking forward to seeing you tonight at the Duquoin American Legion 5 PM to 7 PM," she said in the post.
The DuQuoin American Legion is located at 900 S. Jefferson Ave., the post said. Tickets were $25 per person or $40 per couple.
Bryant has stayed busy during the legislative session hiatus, a recent Carbondale Reporter release said. She has attended a variety of community events, including Columbia Days.
In the June 28 primary election, Bryant ran unopposed in her efforts to continue serving the residents of District 58, the Journal Star said.
