State Rep. Patrick Windhorst, R-Metropolis, will host a golf scramble later this month at the Franklin County Country Club in West Frankfort to benefit his re-election campaign for the 117th District House seat.
According to Windhorst’s Facebook post, the cost to take part in the scramble is $125 per person or $500 for a team. The post also noted registration will begin at 7 a.m. at the club, located at 11058 Country Club Rd., with lunch being catered by Uncle Joe's.
“Please join us for our campaign's golf scramble on Aug. 26 at the Franklin County Country Club,” Windhorst said in the post.
A shotgun start is set for 8 a.m., according to the Facebook post, and sponsorship opportunities remain, with prices set at $250, $500 and $1,000. The post also noted that checks for sponsorships or to participate in the scramble can be made out to Citizens for Patrick Windhorst, PO Box 763, Metropolis, IL 62960.
According to the Illinois General Assembly website, Windhorst was first elected to the chamber in 2018, and his current committee assignments include Appropriations-Human Services; Mental Health; Criminal Administration and Enforce; Judiciary - Criminal; Economic Opportunity and Equity; Higher Education; Human Services; and Qualifications Challenge committees.
According to the Peoria Journal Star, Windhorst was unopposed in the June 28 primary for the 117th District.
