Williamson County Board of Commissioners met April 12.

The Williamson County Board of Commissioners met at 10:00 a.m. at the Williamson County Administrative Building Boardroom, Marion, Illinois, in a meeting of the Williamson County Board of Commissioners with the following members present:

Jim Marlo, Chairman

Brent Gentry, Commissioner

Tim Atkisson, Commissioner

Motion made by Brent Gentry and seconded by Tim Atkisson, approving RESOLUTION NO. 22-04-12-17 RESOLUTION FOR IMPROVEMENT UNDER THE ILLINOIS HIGHWAY CODE FOR PITTSBURG ROAD. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Jim Marlo, Yea; Brent Gentry, Yea; Tim Atkisson, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Travis Emery, County Highway Engineer, gave an update on the Road Extension Project Invoices.

Motion made by Brent Gentry and seconded by Tim Atkisson, approving Progress Port contract. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Jim Marlo, Yea; Brent Gentry, Yea; Tim Atkisson, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Brent Gentry, approving minutes for February 8, 2022. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Jim Marlo, Yea; Brent Gentry, Yea; Tim Atkisson, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Brent Gentry, approving minutes for February 16, 2022. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Jim Marlo, Yea; Brent Gentry, Yea; Tim Atkisson, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Brent Gentry, approving minutes for March 2, 2022. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Jim Marlo, Yea; Brent Gentry, Yea; Tim Atkisson, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Discussion had on the Recycling Program. Contact was made with Progress Port. They would like $10,600 annually for three days a week. Possible start date would be March 21, 2022.

Motion made by Tim Atkisson and seconded by Brent Gentry, approving Collective Bargaining Agreement between Williamson County Highway Department and Operating Engineers Local 318 contingent on approval from Rhett Barke, Labor Attorney. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Jim Marlo, Yea; Brent Gentry, Yea; Tim Atkisson, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Tim Atkisson to rescind Williamson County Vaccination Policy. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Jim Marlo, Yea; Brent Gentry, Yea; Tim Atkisson, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Motion made by Tim Atkisson and seconded by Brent Gentry, approving January 11, 2022 minutes. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Jim Marlo, Yea; Brent Gentry, Yea; Tim Atkisson, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.
