Williamson County Board of Commissioners met Oct. 12.

The Williamson County Board of Commissioners met at 10:00 a.m. at the Williamson County Administrative Building Boardroom, Marion, Illinois, in a regular meeting of the Williamson County Board of Commissioners with the following members present:

Jim Marlo, Chairman

Brent Gentry, Commissioner

Tim Atkisson, Commissioner

Motion made by Tim Atkisson and seconded by Brent Gentry, approving Animal Control Intergovernmental Agreement between Williamson County and the Village of Freeman Spur. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Jim Marlo, Yea; Brent Gentry, Yea; Tim Atkisson, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Motion made by Tim Atkisson and seconded by Brent Gentry, approving Animal Control Intergovernmental Agreement between Williamson County and the Village of Pittsburg. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Jim Marlo, Yea; Brent Gentry, Yea; Tim Atkisson, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Motion made by Tim Atkisson and seconded by Brent Gentry, approving Animal Control Intergovernmental Agreement between Williamson County and the Village of Spillertown. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Jim Marlo, Yea; Brent Gentry, Yea; Tim Atkisson, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Motion made by Tim Atkisson and seconded by Brent Gentry, approving Animal Control Intergovernmental Agreement between Williamson County and the Village of Cambria. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Jim Marlo, Yea; Brent Gentry, Yea; Tim Atkisson, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Motion made by Brent Gentry and seconded by Tim Atkisson, approving Collective Bargaining Agreement between Williamson County Sheriff’s Telecommunicators and Labors’ Local 773 contingent on receiving contract from Labor Attorney, Rhett Barke. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Jim Marlo, Yea; Brent Gentry, Yea; Tim Atkisson, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Commissioner Marlo made the appointment for Brian Norman (Trustee) to the Norman Cemetery Association.

Motion made by Tim Atkisson and seconded by Brent Gentry, approving Board Meeting Schedule for FY 2022 contingent on changing the meeting from the 8th to the 9th of November 2022. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Jim Marlo, Yea; Brent Gentry, Yea; Tim Atkisson, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Discussion had on internet contract with Clearwave. No action taken.

Commissioners also discussed the Economic Development position. No action taken.
