Jackson County Finance and Administration Committee met Nov. 8.

Call to Order (5:00 PM)

Members Present: Ashley, Calandro, Comparato, D. Bost, Erbes, Mueller and Rendleman Also present: Chad Hill, Kenton Schafer, Bruce Wallace, Gene Basden

Approval of Minutes

I. 21-6497 Approval of October 4, 2021 Minutes

A motion was made by Calandro, seconded by Rendleman, to approve the October 4, 2021 minutes as presented. The motion carried by unanimous vote.

Chair's Report

Insurance

II. 21-6498 Work Comp Update

The County Administrator informed the committee that there were currently two people on work comp. She also commented that a second work comp audit had been completed and the County received $10,000 back due to miss-classifications of employees. The County

Administrator noted that the problem has now been corrected.

III. 21-6499 Payment of HOPE Trust Dental & Vision Claims in the amount of $8,990.92 A motion was made by Rendleman, seconded by D. Bost, to approve payment of HOPE Trust Dental & Vision Claims in the amount of $8,990.92. The motion carried by unanimous vote.

IV. 21-6500 Payment of HOPE Trust Medical Administration Claim in the amount of $271,523.00 A motion was made by Ashley, seconded by Calandro, to approve payment of HOPE Trust Medical Administration Claim in the amount of $271,523.00. The motion carried by the

following vote:

Yes: 5 - Ashley, Calandro, Comparato, D. Bost and Rendleman

Absent: 2 - Erbes and Mueller

Finance

V. 21-6501 AGE Presentation

Erbes arrived. Wallace gave a quick presentation on the fluctuation of natural gas prices. He suggested the County go with a 24 month term to lock in a price for those two years rather than floating month to month as they do now.

A motion was made by Rendleman, seconded by Erbes, to approve recommendation to the full Board to take the AGE term recommendation. The motion carried by unanimous vote.

VI. 21-6502 Approval of On Demand Claims in the amount of $158,420.63

The County Administrator commented that the reason this months On-Demand Claims were so high was due to cutting a check for the Eurma Hayes Center from ARP funds.

A motion was made by Calandro, seconded by Rendleman, to approve On Demand Claims in the amount of $158,420.63. The motion carried by the following vote:

Yes: 6 - Ashley, Calandro, Comparato, D. Bost, Erbes and Rendleman

Absent: 1 - Mueller

VII. 21-6503 Payment of Board Member Travel Expenses in the amount of $3,327.84 A motion was made by Ashley, seconded by D. Bost, to approve payment of Board Member Travel Expenses in the amount of $3,327.84. The motion carried by the following vote:

Yes: 6 - Ashley, Calandro, Comparato, D. Bost, Erbes and Rendleman

Absent: 1 - Mueller

VIII. 21-6509 Delinquent Tax Resolution 2021-67 Parcel #02-25-180-009

Agenda items VIII through X were voted as one item.

A motion was made by Rendleman, seconded by Calandro, to approve Delinquent Tax Resolution 2021-67 through 2021-69. The motion carried by unanimous vote.

X. 21-6511 Delinquent Tax Resolution 2021-69 Parcel #14-04-157-037

XI. 21-6504 Ambulance Budget Adjustments

Mueller arrived. Schafer gave an explanation of the requested budget adjustments and answered questions from the committee.

A motion was made by Rendleman, seconded by D. Bost, to approve the Ambulance Budget Adjustments. The motion carried by the following vote:

Yes: 7 - Ashley, Calandro, Comparato, D. Bost, Erbes, Mueller and Rendleman

XII. 21-6505 IT Budget Adjustments

The County Administrator explained what the IT budget adjustments were for and answered questions from the committee.

A motion was made by Calandro, seconded by Rendleman, to approve the IT Budget Adjustments. The motion carried by the following vote:

Yes: 7 - Ashley, Calandro, Comparato, D. Bost, Erbes, Mueller and Rendleman
