Carbondale Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.
Basecamp: Adventure Trip, Nantahala Outdoor Center
Spend three days exploring the beauty and adventure of the Nantahala Outdoor Center through whitewater rafting, sightseeing and ziplining in the heart of the Blueridge Mountains.
Your registration includes food, transportation and group gear. Please remember to bring a sleeping bag, sleeping pad or headlamp.
Meet at the SIU Rec Center at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Friday, October 1 and be prepared to return on Oct. 3.
