Agency Reports

Treasurer Liz Hunter reported that they are printing tax bills and that they will be mailed out by mid July with due dates mid August and mid October.

Peterson reported:

Greater Egypt Regional Planning and Development Commission

The Greater Egypt Commission met by zoom on June 8, 2021. The staff is working on a Small Business Community Navigator Program funded by a DCEO and SBA grant to offer technical assistance to small businesses in the five county region. The staff will hold a public meeting on the Western Crab Orchard Watershed plan in July.

Southern Illinois Metropolitan Planning Organization

The SIMPO committee met by zoom and in person on June 14, 2021. IDOT gave a presentation on their IRoads website. The committee discussed a call for projects to use our local COVID Relief Supplement Funds.

Erbes reported:

United Counties Council of Illinois

No meeting in June but reported that Jackson County was ahead of the curve when it came to COVID relief. The UCCI conference is set up for July 25, 26, 27 in Galena.

I. 21-6113 Resolution 2021-53 William "Bill" Alstat Public Service Award Recognition of Bart Hagston A motion was made by J. S. Rendleman, seconded by Calandro, to approve Bart Hagston as the recipient of the William "Bill" Alstat Public Service award. The motion carried by unanimous vote.

A motion was made by Comparato, seconded by Calandro, to approve the Approval of FY22 Assessment Lease Pending Legal Approval. The motion carried by unanimous vote.

A motion was made by Comparato, seconded by J. S. Rendleman, to Amend the motion, after some discussion. The motion carried by unanimous vote.
