To help out a group of parents who sometimes are overlooked when it comes to assistance, Two Bugs and a Bean was there to help for a day.

The company provided free children's clothing for parents of foster kids on Feb. 15.

"Two Bugs and a Bean is part of the Foster Family Resource Center of Southern Illinois, a not-for-profit organization with a mission of caring for foster families in our region," Christine O'Dell, founder of the non-profit organization sponsoring the event, said, WPSD Local 6 reported. "Proceeds from the store go to support our efforts, but we thought this special event would be just another way we can support them."

Foster families will continue to receive an automatic 25% discount on clothing purchases at the store. The discount was increased to 40% for the event on Feb. 15.

Two Bugs and a Bean Children's Resale Boutique is located at 695 N. Giant City Road in Carbondale, in front of Kohl's and Planet Fitness.
