Saluki flags seem to magically rise and fall around town during Southern Illinois University athletic, recruitment and special events, but the magic behind these flags going up and coming down is the Saluki Pride Committee of the Carbondale Chamber of Commerce.
Volunteers will put the flags up and take them down, Carbondale Communique reported. The flags help represent and showcase the community's support for the university. Thes
The Carbondale Chamber of Commerce is asking that the community supports the local chamber members by shopping online from local businesses. The commerce is selling prints of the larger Saluki Paw Prints, which makes great gifts while showing support for the university. These prints are smaller versions and can be purchases for two for $20.
