You’ve heard the saying “time is money” right? It’s about time we start applying that saying to our morning routines! I used to be that woman who’d spend over an hour getting ready for work or events. But not anymore! I’ve discovered these 5 hacks that have helped me get ready faster!
Tip 1: Set yourself up for success! You know what I mean here – have your morning items ready to go! I like to start my day with hot water and lemon everyday, so one small step that helps me is to precut a week’s worth of lemons. These small tasks might seem silly, but start out with 1 or 2 and you’ll quickly realize how much time they can save you!
Tip 2: Use an electric toothbrush! I know, I know, you’re thinking “how the heck does this save me time?!” Hear me out – most electric toothbrushes have a 2 minute timer (the amount of time dentists recommend brushing your teeth). So you’ll be sure you’re brushing for the amount of time necessary, but no longer than needed! Win-win.
Tip 3: Organize your skincare products. Again, you’re probably confused by this tip. But, by having the items you need for your skincare routine in their correct “homes,” you won’t spend an unnecessary amount of time searching for them. I also recommend using a countertop lazy susan/turntable organizer for your skincare products because not only will they be easily accessible, but you can put them in the exact order you use them!
Tip 4: Keep your makeup simple. It’s ok if simple isn’t your thing, but this is something I stick to! Staying with sunscreen, tinted moisturizer, brow liner, and lip gloss for my day-to-day look saves me a ton of time (and my skin loves it, too!).
Tip 5: Have the coffee pot ready to brew. This sounds simple, but again, it can save you precious time in the mornings! I personally actually prefer cold brew, so I have that pre-mixed with sugar free creamer in a to-go mug in the fridge so I can just grab it and head out the door!
