Carbondale home prices rise in the third quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2019 in Carbondale rose by $12,250 while total sales increased by 1.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2019, there were 53 homes sold, with a median sale price of $115,000 - a 11.9% increase over the $102,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 52 homes sold in Carbondale in the third quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Carbondale for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $2,716, approximately 2.4% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2019.
