Qe

Carbondale Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.

Do you love trivia? Are you someone that remembers all those details that no one else does about movies? Then the BGCSI’s “Trivia Night at the Oscars” is perfect for you and all movie lovers. In order to accommodate this growing event, it will be held at the Carbondale Civic Center on Friday, February 28th. The doors open at 6:00 pm and promises to be a movie lover’s delight and better than ever. Dinner will be catered by Great Boars of Fire and a cash bar will be available. Community members are invited to test their movie trivia knowledge for an opportunity to walk away with an Oscar.

The movie trivia competition will consist of 10 rounds of movie-related questions, with a bonus question for extra points. Each member of the winning team receives a bottle of wine or sparkling grape juice, a movie gift certificate, and an Oscar! Attendees can also participate in a 50/50 raffle and bid on many great silent auction items. All the members of the best themed/costumed table will also receive an Oscar.

The cost to attend the event is $40.00/person or $320.00 for a table of eight. Better yet, be a Producer’s Table Sponsor for $400.00, which includes eight tickets, recognition on signage and the event program, and a special gift. Once you have purchased your tickets you will get the trivia categories ahead of time.

All proceeds benefit the activities and programs of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Illinois. For more information or to reserve your tickets now call 618-457-8878 Ext. 0032 or purchase them online at www.bgcsi.org/Oscars-trivia-night.
