AFRICAN AMERICAN MUSEUM OF SOUTHERN ILLINOIS: How to Transition Any Outfit

Sellingclothes

African American Museum of Southern Illinois recently issued the following announcement.

With a few simple accessories or changes to your daytime look, transitioning into a chic evening style is easier than you think. Plan on meeting friends after work? No one has time to pack a bag for a night out. Instead, keep these tips in mind to make the transition even easier:

Start with a LBD. A dress is the perfect transition piece, especially when it’s black because it works for any occasion. For a daytime look accessorize with a blazer and heels but at night swap out with strappy sandals and lose the blazer!

Silky chic blouses are the perfect go-to. Nothing looks more chic than a silky blouse tucked into a pair of skinny jeans. Dress them up for a night out with sandals and a statement piece of jewelry.

Colorful bags are easy to incorporate. Don’t have time to really make a transition? Swap out your daytime bag for something more sleek and eye-catching for a fun night out!

Go for the accents! While you might opt for more feminine or neutral styles during the day, go for eye-catching accents at night. A statement necklace and black cami, booties with studs or a cute colorful clutch are all easy things to add to any polished daytime look.

Don’t be afraid of texture. A simple way to take any look from day to night is to swap a blouse for something with fun texture – silk and strappy, lace and even a crop are all fun ways to dress up a skirt, trousers or jeans into something more fashionable for a night out!

Never miss a chance for a night out. Keep these tips in mind and you’ll always be ready to go!
