Williamson County Board of Commissioners met July 18.

The Williamson County Board of Commissioners met Thursday July 18, 2019 at 10:07 a.m. at the Williamson County Administrative Building Boardroom, Marion, Illinois, in a regular meeting of the Williamson County Board of Commissioners with the following members present:
Ron Ellis, Chairman
Brent Gentry, Commissioner
Jim Marlo, Commissioner
Attest: Amanda Barnes, County Clerk and Recorder
Discussion had on Frontier internet bill. Frontier had sent a bill with the next month already added into the final amount after the disconnect notice had been given. It was decided not to pay anything until the July bill came in.
Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Brent Gentry, approving COLA letter for the State’s Attorney and Public Defender. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Jim Marlo, Yea; Brent Gentry, Yea; Ron Ellis, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.
Motion made by Brent Gentry and seconded by Ron Ellis, approving Travel Reimbursement for Jim Marlo in the amount of $73.36. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Jim Marlo, Abstain; Brent Gentry, Yea; Ron Ellis, Yea. All members present two voting Yea; motion carried.
Motion made by Ron Ellis and seconded by Brent Gentry, approving Travel Reimbursement for Jim Marlo in the amount of $209.79. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Jim Marlo, Abstain; Brent Gentry, Yea; Ron Ellis, Yea. All members present two voting Yea; motion carried.
Discussion was had concerning Whiteash. Commissioner Ellis will be contacting USDA for payoff amount on bond and to make sure it can be paid off early without penalty.
Possibly looking into some type of intergovernmental agreement for the next five years by setting aside revenue coming in from Whiteash residents to pay bond off. No action taken.
