There was one offender released on parole during 2018 that lives in Gorham zip code 62940, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Carbondale Reporter.

The data shows that the released offender was John W. Crabtree. He was convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2017, when he was 61. He is now 63.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
